Neurofeedback training* is brain training, a safe, drug-free form of brain training. Neurofeedback training is not a therapy or a treatment.
It is a type of EEG biofeedback that involves the use of an electroencephalogram (EEG) apparatus to read brain patterns and send audio cues to give corrective feedback. Without pushing or pulling the brain in any specific direction, Neurofeedback training can improve neural plasticity. Neurofeedback training has the potential to train one’s brain to have the flexibility to adapt to different situations.
There is a broad spectrum of people who use Neurofeedback training in efforts to train their brain to become more flexible and resilient.
Some people try Neurofeedback training in offers to reduce symptoms, such as people who suffer from stress, anxiety, depression, the “busy brain”, problems with attention and focus (including attention deficits), post-traumatic stress disorder, post-concussion syndrome, and substance use and abuse. Other people try Neurofeedback training for performance enhancement, such as students, elite athletes, and executives.
Neurofeedback training provides safe, drug-free and non-invasive brain training. Due to its non-invasive nature, the sessions are typically free of adverse side-effects.
Each Neurofeedback training session provides 33 minutes of brain training. It is recommended that people begin with a minimum of 8-10 Neurofeedback training sessions in order to determine the power of its effectiveness. At the start, it is recommended that the sessions be done on a weekly basis. During the brain training, the recipient is not expected to do anything other than sit back and relax. The dynamical Neurofeedback operates in such a way that the brain works on its own.
